The Boat House is where the owner spends his time on Moosehead. The Boathouse is a fully open-plan, loft-style appartment on the 2. floor with colorful comfortable seating tucked in the woods on Burnt Jacket Mountain. The inviting room space sports a tongue and groove cathedral ceiling, a Glenwood wood stove to warm you up on those cold evenings, and the sofa is a good place to curl up and read that special book you have been saving just for that well deserved down time. The bed is queen-sized and converts into a sofa during the day..The bathroom is sports bamboo features and reminiscent of Japan. The walls are decorated with pictuers and photographs from the owner's boats and sailing journeys. Centrepiece is a quixotic parrot cage complete with dried flowers and parrot (sadly, made from wood). The Boathouse will sleep up to two people.
Make a light lunch or a full meal in this well equipped, traditional kitchen with fitted funriture that any cook deserves to have and serve the meals on the dining table crafted from old timber boards or eat your meal out on the high covered porch for alfresco dining and take in the serene wooded views you see on the reflection of nature’s beauty from Moosehead Lake. This covered balcony features spectacular views of the sunrise, but is sheltered from the afternoon sun and you will spend many hours as a laid back visitor looking down onto the docks below where the boats are anchored.
