The Shepherd's Cabin sets the standard in lakeside privacy. Surrounded by the sounds of nature, this two bedroom/loft log cabin with one bathroom provides a secluded getaway from the daily grind. It's the ideal place for you and your family to reconnect with nature. The cabin can sleep five comfortably with one queen, two twin beds and a regular platform bed in the small loft. Like all our cabins, this one is constructed by local craftsmen from solid pine logs in the traditional way. At the Shepherd's Cabin, the greatest amenities are peace and quiet.

The heart of the home includes the living room, dining area, kitchen, with the bath off the hallway. The living room sports a beautiful woodstove, a large comfortable sofa and two matching oversized chairs and a book case of books to read at your quiet time here. The decor is in keeping with the cabin's theme, so the odd ox or sheep may look over your shoulder from the walls while you are reading. The dining table and benches (craftman built from old time planks) can easily seat six. The kitchen is huge and comes with everything you need right at your fingertips, including a centre island and plenty of counterspace.

The master suite features queen size black iron bedstead with a beautiful tapestry and swinging doors that open up to the magnificent views of the lake onto the deck ....bringing in a feel of a great cabin in the Maine woods, the bedrooms shine with romantic comfort!

Outside, the covered porch offers a great place to watch the kids play in the front yard facing the waters edge of Moosehead Lake. Or use the gas grill to barbeque while watching the sunshine on the lake. Or else, you could go and sunbathe on the cabin's own very secluded small dock (also suitable to moor a small boat on calm days).
