Welcome to Our Facilities
In addition to the cabins, the Nevermore property puts at its guests' disposal a number of other facilities (apart from the sheer thrill of being in the Great North Woods on the shores of Moosehead Lake): specifically its walks, the "Green Village", and its docks and beach.

Docks
The Docks are located behind a breakwater near the boathouse and feature very calm waters in virtually every weather. A green light at the end of the breakwater, mounted on an ancient windlass, will see you safely in, should you arrive back in the dark. The breakwater is also a great place to watch the sunrise!
There are 4 spaces on the dock and 2 additional mooring buoys, suitable for craft up to 30'.
The spaces are being let on a first come first serve basis, at a cost of $ 100.00 per week,
only to clients renting cabins.
It is possible to launch small runabouts or canoes from the beach, and there are plenty of
launch ramps nearby on the lake for larger craft.
The docks area is also the exit from the property to the lake and the trail system for snowmobiles.
The little beach area is an ideal place for younger kids to mess about in the water in great
safety, and in the woods on the shoreline near the docks is a great place should somebody
want to put up a tent and rough it for a night!
Please understand that we take absolutely no responsibility for you, your boat's, or your
equipment's safety, whether out on the water or on the docks. His own, his crew's and his boat's safety are the first priority for any sailor. When swimming, remember particularly that the
shoreline of Moosehead Lake is crowded with small and large rocks. It can be painful!
Rate: $100.00 per week for the slip

Green Village
The "Green Village" is what we call a collection of cabins we saved from the original camp. Built in the 1920's and 1930's, they were partially refurbished and made weatherfast. The cabins are standing on a semicircle in the woods opposite the modern cabins.
If you want a (fairly) authentic whiff of living in a camp in the first half of the last century, try them out! They are available to our cabin guests for $25.00 per night/cabin. In case you need
to get rid of your teenagers for a night or two (or, maybe, the other way around!).
But be warned. The camps are equipped with bedsteads, mattresses, a paraffin stormlight, a dresser, and a chair or two; and not much else. After that, it's for the luxuries and joys of
outdoor cooking, outdoor showers, outhouses and cold water. As an extra element of luxury, we have installed an outdoor shower and an outdoor bath with running water. Enjoy!
In the centre of the Green Village is a large firepit with rock and log seats around, available to all our guests. Very pleasant on an autumn evening. The firepit also contains a large
turning spit and a corner for charcoal grilling.
A word on fire: Always call the Ranger first to inquire whether lighting a fire is OK. Remember, the North Woods are a high fire risk area! As a guide, there should be no or very little wind and the soil and vegetation should not be too dried out. Keep the fire reasonably low. ALWAYS have two buckets of water standing by. ALWAYS douse the fire completely before you leave.
In one corner of the Green Village are some swings and see-saws for kids (or those who wish they still were).
Rate: $25.00 per night per cabin.

Walks
There are hidden and romantic wood trails throughout the Nevermore property and the adjacent woodlands.
If you want to take an after dinner digestive amble or admire Moosehead Lake by moonlight, stroll along the paths at the lakeside; for a more extended walk, take the backtrails all the way to Sandy Cove and back; and, if you are feeling energetic, walk back to the road a little ways and take the (marked) trail to the top of Burnt Jacket Mountain. You may meet a deer or moose, certainly a fox or a group of wild turkey or grouse - but it is unlikely you will meet any humans!
Where the view or the wooded ambience is particularly pleasant, we have prived some benches, swings, or seats to rest.
